Doesn’t really matter, sugar is sugar, just a measure of how pure it is! White sugar is the most pure, brown sugar is in the middle and raw sugar is the most impure.
The pancreas produces insulin and glucagon, to aid in the increase or decrease of glucose in the blood. It does not assimilate sugar. And glucose is glucose, whether it is refined/white, brown or raw.

Whether it’s in a complex carb form or a simple carb form does matter. It is assimilated differently in the pancreas.
