Natural remedies can be a helpful addition to
your household for addressing common health
issues like colds, digestive problems, and stress.
Natural remedies are easy to store and they
have multiple uses.
Long before there was Big Pharma and big chain pharmacies, there were fruit trees, honeybees, and herb gardens providing home remedies that have been handed down through generations.
We must not forget!
Based on longterm use and lots of research, both recent studies and research from decades long ago, I've generated a list with my top 10 natural remedies every household should keep in the pantry. It's good to check with your healthcare professional before using, however, especially if you have underlying medical conditions or are taking medications. These remedies work so well, they can contraindicate some medications.
My Top 10
Honey and turmeric together help with acne, and local honey helps with allergies.
Fresh ginger’s good for digestive issues, nausea, and colds.
Turmeric has anti-inflammatory benefits, and can be used in tea for sore throats.
Catnip eases anxiety.
Knox® Gelatin reduces arthritis pain, and white willow helps back pain.
Garlic is recommended for stomach problems.
Lemon is great squeezed in water for digestion and can help with skin conditions topically.
Peppermint helps with IBS and headaches.
Honey is good for coughs, but do not use for infants.
Chamomile tea helps with sleep and relaxation.
Controversy will always exist around the effectiveness of many natural remedies, so consult with your doctor if you have a serious medical condition.
Again, long before there was Big Pharma and big chain pharmacies, we used nature for our medicine. We need to return to that again.
